Our vacation rental cottages are located on rural Ontario’s largest wilderness lake, midway between Toronto and Montreal. It’s a 7-hour drive from New York City. Reserve all 5 houses and you can sleep 35, with 15 bedrooms and 10 modern bathrooms. Located in the heart of Ontario’s wilderness lakes, we are an ideal vacation spot for couples and families.

For a more rustic group getaway our Badour Island Wilderness Retreat, written up in Fine Homebuilding, The Art of Glamping, and Ontario Out of Doors, is accessible only by boat with accommodations in a main & guest cottage, an adult tree house, a bunkie and a glamping tent. It can sleep 18, has a hot tub and a half-size-lit basketball court.

Our Five Drive-Up Properties at Bobs Lake
The Great House
You will love the Great House. This year-round open house has six bedrooms and five bathrooms. Entertain a big group with our catering kitchen with eight burners, two wall ovens, two Bosch dishwashers, and two refrigerators.
The Eagle
Enjoy an awesome view from a totally renovated four-bedroom, two-bath house. The front of The Eagle is all glass, and it faces a large private outdoor area and the lake. The kitchen is fabulously equipped— there’s a dishwasher, many kitchen appliances, a large fridge, and the bonus of an electric ice cream maker.
The Lake House Upper
This is a totally renovated two-bedroom, one-bath unit with a large living room and small dining room. There are 25 feet of glass facing the lake and a 25-foot open deck across the entire front. You have your own bbq on the deck. There is a beautiful modern Malm gas fireplace to take the chill off when the weather is cold and the view is amazing.
The Lake House Lower
One bedroom has a King bed that separates into two extra long twins. The other has a Queen bed with a twin rollaway underneath. The unit has smaller bedrooms and a smaller living room but has a larger kitchen and larger dining room. It too has 25 feet of glass, and its deck is covered.
The Little House
The main room of the house is 25’ x 15’ with a wide hallway leading to a separate 10′ x 10′ bedroom, with a 4 poster queen bed, and glass doors and decks on two sides. Your private hot tub sits on one of the decks. There are steps that lead right into the lake. As with the other houses, the wall on the lake is all glass, with a deck across the front and a gas fireplace. Unlike the others with lower ceilings, this has a cathedral ceiling and a skylight.

The property has a main cottage, a guest cottage, an adult treehouse, and a basketball court in the middle of the forest that’s lit at night. With 350 feet of private shoreline, you can kayak, canoe, and swim to your heart’s content.
When staying at Badour Island, you can also barbecue or just relax around the fire pit or soak in the hot tub while taking in the amazing view. There’s lots of privacy while you’re here!
