What Our Guests Say!

Who knew that a place as unimaginably named, as “Bob’s Lake” could be a paradise? A trick, I suppose, to keep pesky folks away…We enjoyed our five days immensely – a breathtaking view, serene kayaking adventures, perfect peaches and cream corn every night for supper, the outdoor shower, candlelight diners on your new porch… thank you for sharing your cute piece of the Canadian Shield.

It is great here, quiet and peaceful with a multitude number of places to explore. One of the most restful places and experiences I have had. The deck is perfect for sunsets and we love the dining room. Hope to be back at Bob’s Lake soon.

P.S… I loved the novel Crow’s Lake so much I’m taking it home. The author is Mary Larson. You might enjoy.

What more could we ask for – a great quiet week.

We listened to Loons + Chickadees and Blue jays. We watched the stars from the deck – there were meteor showers.

Speaking of showers, the candle light showers and dinners on the porch were wonderful. The chipmunks were busy all day. We read and painted in the rain – a fantastic few days – energized for the fall. It was great to share this with you.

R & G of Oakville ON (stayed at Isaacs Acres)

This place is truly wonderful. Anne and I have had such a fantastic time here, that I am sure we will return again and soon. This was the single most relaxing week of my life. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful place with us.

Neil and Anne, Philadelphia [stayed at Isaacs Acres on their honeymoon]

At night:

Mars is close to the moon – until the end of the month. The moon will be full in the third week of August. Mars is the closest it has been to earth in 5000 years, and will not be as close for another 85,000 years! Spectacular sky watching. Quiet mornings, quiet evenings. Loons, chipmunks, hawks, an otter, a great week again.

Thanks R & G [stayed at Isaacs Acres}

Jeff and Paul [at Badour]

Thank you for the great cottage.

I did a lot of research looking for the perfect cottage to rent for an annual Land Rover Event we attend at Silver Lake, Ontario every year. After 4 years of camping at Silver Lake Provincial Park in the rain, I had, had enough of the whole camping experience. I was lucky enough to find this gem. Its beautifully decorated, and is absolutely equipped with everything you could possibly think of, basically just bring yourselves and enjoy a very peaceful and beautiful getaway. This was the first time my husband and I have been away in 9 years of marriage. It was well worth it, and we will be back again very soon. We had the pleasure of meeting Marla Isaacs and her son. Really warm and wonderful people, just cant say enough wonderful things about our experience. I will be telling all our friends to come and stay here for a wonderful getaway!!!
